2020 is in the rearview mirror and 2021 is full of possibilities – Burroughs is continuing to transform and there are great things on the horizon.

 

Last year, the entire Burroughs team worked incredibly hard not only to provide our customers with excellent service and support in the face of COVID-19, shutdowns, and social unrest but we also embarked on a transformational journey that led to expanded offerings and solutions, stronger customer and partner relationships, and investments in our people, processes and systems. With all the incredible changes going on inside of Burroughs we wanted the outside to match, so we rebranded. Our new brand reflects a company that is modern, forward-looking, and innovative and it solidifies our focus on delivering industry-leading customer experiences and bringing game-changing offerings to market. 

 

Our team has many successes from 2020 to be proud of that have helped set the stage for an exciting 2021. Having the right people with good character who are focused on teamwork, engagement, continuous improvement, innovation, and having fun, are paramount to our success and we are ready to take Burroughs from a good company to a great company with a great culture. 

 

Recently, we adopted a company-wide book program aimed at engaging the entire Burroughs community in a common conversation that will support our company and individual goals and objectives as well as introduce principles and strategies that will continue to move Burroughs forward on this exciting journey. 

 

The inaugural selection is Jim Collins’ Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap and Others Don't. The book addresses a single question: can a good company become a great company, and if so, how? Based on in-depth research comparing companies that made the leap to those that did not, Good to Great shows that “greatness” is a result of circumstance, conscious choice, and discipline. 

 

Over the coming year, key principles and concepts learned from Good to Great will be weaved into our work at all levels of the organization as we continue to promote operational efficiencies, encourage engagement, innovation, and teamwork, strengthen customer relationships, and make investments in technology that will take Burroughs from good to great!
