Rigorous audit validates Burroughs as a trusted service and integration leader

Elmhurst, IL - Burroughs, Inc., North America’s largest independent service and integration provider of payment and transaction technology ecosystems, announced today that it has successfully maintained its System and Organizational Controls (SOC) 2 Type 2 certification. Burroughs was awarded certification following an independent auditing firm’s examination based on the criteria set forth by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).

The audit affirms that Burroughs’ operational policies, communications, procedures, and monitoring meet the rigorous SOC 2 standards for security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.

Steve Tucker, Burroughs’ CFO, said, “Maintaining our SOC 2 Type 2 certification reinforces Burroughs’ ongoing commitment to security, integrity, and privacy practices required of a successful audit outcome. Our customers can be confident that we prioritize and continue to invest in order to maintain the highest level of security and compliance.”

As Burroughs continues to expand its presence and portfolio of solutions within the financial, retail, OEM, and emerging markets, the SOC 2 Type 2 certification is another example of the transformational journey Burroughs is on, and is a key differentiator among others in the industry.

Anson Martin, Burroughs’ CEO, said, “Data security and integrity are critical in our industry, especially with the acceleration of technology, adoption of digital platforms and services, and the increased need for business continuity that we’ve witnessed over the past 12-18 months. Our customers trust Burroughs to provide them the best service and solution offerings that will enable them to grow and scale while providing their customers with the best experience. The SOC 2 certification reassures our customers and partners that the systems and processes in place at Burroughs are of the highest possible integrity.”

In addition to SOC 2 certification, Burroughs continues to make several continuous improvement enhancements to its infrastructure, processes, and systems by incorporating additional layers of redundancy, analytics, and technology which support its strategic growth plans and evolving customer preferences.
